Hotel & resort marketing · Jim Corbett, UttarakhandEveryone sells the tiger. Sell what's yours.

Most Corbett resorts sell the same safari. We help yours stand out for the guests you do best, whether that's families, weddings or company offsites.

The Jim Corbett market

Who comes to Corbett, and why

Jim Corbett National Park was set up in 1936, the first national park in Asia, and it's best known for tigers, elephants and birds. Ramnagar is the main gateway. Most resorts sit along the Kosi river road towards Dhikuli and Garjia, or near the Dhela and Jhirna gates. Guests book a stay, then try to get a safari permit. The two are separate, and that gap causes a lot of confusion.

The park runs several tourism zones, each with its own season. Jhirna, Dhela and Garjia stay open all year. Bijrani opens from mid-October to the end of June. Dhikala, Durgadevi, Sonanadi and Pakhro open from mid-November to mid-June. Safari and forest rest house bookings are made through the official park portal, and Dhikala's night stays fill very quickly once bookings open.

Corbett is one of the nearest wildlife trips from Delhi NCR, so weekends are busy. But resorts here also live on events. Many host destination weddings, family functions and company offsites, with lawns, banquet halls and team activities. That makes Corbett more than a safari town. A resort that sells only "jungle safari" competes with everyone, while one that clearly sells weddings, offsites or quiet birding stays is easier to find.

Who books

Who stays in Jim Corbett

  • Delhi NCR families and couples

Weekend guests driving up for one or two safaris, a pool and good food. They often don't know how safari permits work and need your help.

  • Wedding and function parties

Families from Delhi NCR and nearby cities planning a destination wedding or a big celebration. They compare lawns, rooms and packages over weeks.

  • Corporate offsites

Company teams on a two- or three-day trip. HR teams want meeting space, group rooms, activities and clear pricing in one document.

  • Wildlife and birding enthusiasts

Photographers and birders, Indian and foreign, who plan around zone openings. They care about naturalists, early breakfasts and distance to the gates.

The year

When guests come to Jim Corbett

  1. Peak season

    November to June

All zones open by mid-November, and summer months are often the best for sightings. Push safari-plus-stay packages early, because permits sell out and guests plan around them.

  2. Wedding and winter season

    October to February

Cool weather and the wedding calendar fill resorts with functions, and Christmas and New Year bring families. Market wedding packages and group offsites well ahead.

  3. Monsoon

    July to September

Most zones close for the rains and only Jhirna, Dhela and Garjia stay open. Market the resort itself: pool, river, food and green views, plus offsites and monsoon weekend rates.

Getting here

Ramnagar railway station is close to the park, with direct trains from Delhi. Pantnagar is the nearest airport, and Dehradun is another option with a longer drive. By road, Delhi to Ramnagar is roughly 250 to 260 km via Moradabad and Kashipur, usually five to six hours. Most safari gates are a short drive from Ramnagar, but Sonanadi and Pakhro are reached from the Kotdwar side.

The hard part

What makes marketing a resort in Corbett hard

There are a lot of resorts selling a very similar trip, and the safari itself isn't in your hands.

  • Safari permits are booked separately through the park's portal and can sell out, so a guest who books your room may still miss a safari and blame the trip.
  • Dozens of resorts on the same stretch use the same words, tiger photos and pool shots, so it's hard to look different.
  • Many searches lead to third-party booking and safari sites that look official, which confuses guests and pulls them away from you.
  • Most zones close in the monsoon, and demand drops unless you have events or offsites lined up.
  • Weddings and corporate groups bring big money but need a very different sales approach from weekend couples.

We'll be honest about which of these markets your property can win, and put the effort there instead of copying what every other resort on the Kosi road says.

What we'd do

What we'd do for a resort in Corbett

Most of it is about standing apart from the resort next door and making the safari part less confusing.

  1. Safari and zone info on your site

Which zones are open when, which gate is closest to you, how official booking works and when bookings open. Guests trust a resort that explains this clearly.

  2. Google listing for gate and river searches

A full Google Business Profile aimed at searches like "resort near jhirna gate" or "riverside resort in corbett", with real photos of your rooms and grounds.

  3. Wedding pages that answer the real questions

Lawn and hall sizes, room counts, catering, decor and rough package ranges, with photos from your own property. Families shortlist venues from these pages.

  4. A corporate offsite pack

One clear page and a downloadable PDF with meeting rooms, group rates, activities and a sample two-day plan, for HR teams in Delhi NCR.

  5. Monsoon offers for the open zones

Rainy-season packages built around Jhirna, Dhela or Garjia safaris, the pool and the river, shown to Delhi NCR weekenders on Instagram.

  6. Reviews that talk about more than the tiger

Ask every guest for a review and reply to each one. Reviews about your naturalist, food and service matter more than sightings, which no resort controls.

Useful on its own

What guests search, and what to post.

The first list is the kind of thing guests type when looking for a stay in Jim Corbett. Your website and Google listing should answer them. The second is a start on your next month of Instagram.

Questions

Marketing a stay in Jim Corbett

Something else on your mind? Ask us on WhatsApp.

How do I stand out from all the other resorts near Corbett?

Pick what you do best and say it plainly. If you're great for weddings, build pages around that. If you're closest to Jhirna gate, lead with it. If your naturalist is excellent, show them. Use your own photos, not tiger stock images, and get reviews that mention these things. Guests choose between resorts on specifics, not on the word "jungle".

Should I help guests book safaris?

Guests expect help, and many get lost on lookalike websites. At the least, explain on your site that safaris are booked through the official park portal, when bookings open and which zones are open that month. Many resorts also arrange safaris for guests. Clear, honest information before booking cuts cancellations and angry reviews.

How do I market my resort for weddings in Corbett?

Wedding families compare venues for weeks. Give them a dedicated page with lawn and hall sizes, room counts, catering options, decor photos from your own events and a quick way to get a quote on WhatsApp. List on the main wedding venue sites, and run Instagram content showing real setups. Reply fast; wedding enquiries go cold quickly.

What can I sell in the monsoon when most zones are closed?

Jhirna, Dhela and Garjia stay open, so safaris are still possible. Beyond that, sell the resort: the pool, the river, long lunches, rain views and quiet. Monsoon is also a good time for company offsites, because rates are lower. Keep your Google listing and Instagram active so you're still in front of Delhi weekenders.
