Getting here
Cochin International Airport is about 85 km north, roughly 2 hours by road along NH 66. Trivandrum airport is about 150 km south. Alappuzha has its own railway station on the coastal line, with good links to Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Chennai and Bengaluru. Most houseboats leave from the Finishing Point and Punnamada jetties, so clear directions to the right jetty save a lot of confused phone calls.
