Polo Forest is about 400 sq km of dry deciduous forest in the Aravalli foothills near Abhapur village, in Vijaynagar taluka of Sabarkantha. This is a drive-in weekend market. Most guests come from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, about three hours away, and from Vadodara and nearby towns. The monsoon and the months just after it are the busiest, when the rivers are full and small waterfalls run off the rocks. Winter brings a quieter crowd for birding and camping.

Himmatnagar is the nearest useful railway station, about 60 km away, and Ahmedabad airport is the nearest airport. Udaipur is about 120 km from Vijaynagar, so some Rajasthan guests come too. Public transport is limited, so directions, road conditions and a pickup option help.
