Vagamon sits at about 1,100 metres on the border of Idukki and Kottayam districts. Getting here
Everyone comes by road. The nearest railway station is Kottayam, about 63 km away, and Cochin International Airport is about 94 km, usually around three hours by road. Erattupetta is about 25 km downhill, and Pala and Thodupuzha are the other gateway towns. Many guests drive from Kochi via Thodupuzha, or come from Kottayam via Erattupetta. The last stretch is a winding hill road that can be slow in fog and rain.
